episode 40: day of destiny Serena, Amy, Lita, Raye, Mina, and the cats met up at the temple. They all transformed, determined to kick Beryl's butt; whispering "Scout Power", they vanished into thin air, and finally arrived in the northern latitudes, site of the Negaverse base... Upon their arrival, Beryl asked for helpers to kill the Scouts. The Doom and Gloom Girls took that role...meanwhile, while Mercury was trying to get readings on her computer, who appeared, battered and chained, but Darien? Serena was ecstatic and started to run to him, but the other Scouts dragged her down, saying that it was a trap. Mercury then discovered that it WAS a trap! Suddenly, the supposed Darien transformed into the five Doom and Gloom Girls!!!... They struck with an awesome force, and they all ducked, Jupiter pulling Moon down. However, as soon as Lita got up, the five evil girls attacked her, wrapping her with thick black cords. She shouted, "JUPTIER THUNDER CRASH!", and a huge flash of energy was released. The Scouts could all see Lita saying, "I gotta go now. I believe in you!". She was gone... Sailor Moon, crying, wailed at the DD girls, but they just laughed. Mercury then thought that she got some readings a few feet up, and went over to check it out. Moon warned her that it wasn't safe, but Amy just said that "who said this was supposed to be safe?". Suddenly, a figure hung, lifeless...her love, GREG! She knew better, however, and got readings that he was indeed a trick. Moments later, they attacked with a force, dragging Mercury down into the ice!!! After interrogating her about the Scouts, they hit her with a powerful force, and Mercury uses the last of her power...The remaining Scouts her say, "I'm with Lita now. Good luck!". She was now gone as well... Sailor Moon was now crying her eyes out. She didn't want to go on, but with Venus' and Mars' encouragment, they trodded forward. However, as soon as that happened, they Doom and Gloom Girls grabbed Venus!! She used all her stregnth, shouting "VENUS CRESENT-V SMASH", and a huge blast of energy penetrated. However, it was her last ounce of stregnth...Mars and Moon heard her say, "I believe in you.". Only Mars and Moon remained... Of course by now, Serena was wailing away, but Mars tried to confort her. When the Girls approached again, she said that the Princess must face Beryl alone, despite the hardships - it was destiny. She went to the Girls, they dragged her into the ice, and after she used up her power, all Serena heard was, "Bye Meatball-Head!". Her best friends, all four, were gone...She was the only one left... Moon was now determined, saying that she would free her friends. However, as soon as she said that, a bubble of energy engulfed her and dissapeared into a mountain, taking her to the home of the Negaverse... She stood in the caves, looked at the evil woman beside her, and realized that SHE was in fact Queen Beryl. The woman said, "That's right. And I will rule the universe...with Prince Darien at my side!" Serena could then see her beloved Darien clinging to Beryl's hand. She cried, and Beryl sent him to attack. With an evil force, he threw her down, and she tried her "Moon Healing Activation" on him. But it didn't work... Shocked, she had one last hope: her tiara glowed, and it struck Darien in the gut. He was hurt badly, but still did not succumb to her will, saying that "you are the enemy". But she knew better. She said, "Your mind may belong to Beryl, but your heart belongs to me." Holding out her locket, she said that all he needs to do it touch it. And he did...memories flooded back to him, and his body glowed a bright white. Finally, he rested in her arms, weak but finally free, free to be with his true love!... Beryl could not take this. She flung a crystal shard at the couple, and with the last of his stregnth, he flung a rose at it. It sliced through the shard and became implanted int Beryl. She slunk away to the Negaforce...it was disgusted, but decided to give her one last chance. It posessed her bosy, and she grew ten times her regular size, and her power increased... Sailor Moon stood there, and the new Beryl attacked with all her might. But from the wreckage arose the princess of the moon, Princess Serena. She would not go down...ready to fight, she shouted, "Cosmic Moon Power", and a strong pink energy flowed from the Imperium Crystal, dueling Beryl's dark energy... Serena's power was strong, but she needed help. The struggling Princess called upon her fallen comrades for any stregnth they could muster - they would not be lost in vain! Hearing the plea, the spirits of the fallen Scouts arose, each ghostly figure holding onto the Cresent Moon Wand. They shouted with all their might, "Mercury Power!" "Mars Power!" "Jupiter Power!" "Venus Power!" and finally: "COSMIC MOON POWER!" A pink bubble of light flowed towards Queen Beryl, an unbelieving Queen Beryl, and she could only cry out in pain as she was put out of her misery... The Negaverse, after all these years, was finally vanquished!!!... The next morning. Serena wailed that she would be late. Raye swept up the temple floors. Mina walked to school. Amy passed by the grade board. Lita strolled down the street. They had no memories of their past lives. They were now regular teenagers, not even knowing each other. They had defeated the greatest evil, and it was all over. Yet it would not be the end of the Sailor Scouts!... This is the end of Sailor Moon Classic. Hope you liked the story! Enjoy!
