characters in sailor moon r(eturn) Serena - the main character of the series. Accepting her fate, she decides to become Sailor Moon after a new enemy strikes. She is more mature now than in the earlier series, and just wants piece. The loss of Darien (when he doesn't remember her and when he leaves her) hurts her deeply, and she would do anything to get him back. She would also sacrifice herself for Rini's sake...her powers get stronger as Queen Serenity gives her a Moon Scepter. Darien - In the beginning of R, he has no memory of Serena or the others, and disregards her. And yet a part of him still yearns to be her protector...in the second part, he ends up protecting Rini and caring for her, to Serena's dismay. When he has dreams of Serena's demise, he must hide his love for her - the hardest thing either of them has had to face in their lives. As Tuxedo Mask, he doesn't have any attacks, but still provide that moral support. Moonlight Knight - a mysterious figure, he helps out the Scouts when Tuxedo Mask had lost his memories. Who he actually is is unknown until the end... Amy - as Sailor Mercury and Serena's best friend, she often keeps Serena's spirits up in this series. She gains a power-up in th beginning, when the sight of hurt children enrages her to a point of madness...later on, she experiences a painful decision as she must choose whether to take the opportunity of a lifetime - or leave the girls. She becomes a good friend of Rini's, and later gets another attack, her first offensive manouver. She helps to heal one of the Four Sisters (see further down). Raye - Raye's anger reaches its peak in the beginning of the series, when all her hard work for a festival goes to waste as a monster of Ann and Alan's destroys her work, resulting in a new attack for Sailor Mars. Raye often comforts Serena when she's down, which is often in this series...later on, she helps to heal one of the Four Sisters (see further down), as well as become Rini's closest companion. Mars later gets another powerful attack. Lita - Lita ends up falling in love with Alan in the beginning of R, but ends up dropping this when Ann attacks her...Jupiter gets a new attack as well...later on, she helps heal two of the Four Sisters (see further down), and gets another new attack. Mina - Mina doesn't have much of a role in R, but she gets some great episodes...she gets a new attack when a monster attacks a bus filled with kindergardeners! Later on, she gets another, more powerful attack, as well as tries to make Serena feel better when she's sick. Ann and Alan - the two aliens that start off R with a bang. Using their cardians (monsters), they try to take human energy in order to feed the mysterious Doom Tree, which seems to keep them alive. Ann falls in love with Darien and Alan with Serena, which makes a strange predicament, since the two aliens are supposed to love each other...they are healed at the end... Doom Tree - the mysterious tree that keeps the aliens alive. This tree happens to be a thinking, feeling creature, that only wants to live in piece. (any more and there would be spoilers...!) Rini - a very strange girl that falls out of the sky one day into Darien's arms, Rini hypnotises Serena's family into thinking that she's their cousin. Yet no one knows the truth about this little girl, only that she talks to this strange floating "Luna Ball" which calls her "small lady". The pink-haired menace seems to attract trouble wherever she goes, but the girls still care for her, especially Serena. Her true identity is very shocking! Four Sisters - four villains, lead by Rubius, that are after Rini. Avery, Birdie, Catzy, and Prizma are fashion crazy and vain, but still feel much pain in their hearts over various issues. They are eventually tossed aside by Rubius and are healed by Sailor Moon. Rubius, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond - they are all members of the Black Moon Family of Nemesis. Rubius, the Four Sisters' leader, was killed when a plan backfired...Sapphire, Prince Diamond's brother, senses something wrong with Wiseman, but dies before he can get it out...Emerald, in love with Diamond, is jealous of Sailor Moon and dies from her greed...Prince Diamond is in love with Neo Queen Serenity, Queen of Crystal Tokyo, and also likes Sailor Moon alot - he is manipulated by Wiseman for this. Wiseman - a strange figure that guides over the Black Moon. Yet he has an agenda of his own. Working for the "Doom Phantom", he wants to vanquish the universe, time and space, and uses the Black Moon for pawns. Wicked Lady - a new member of the Black Moon, she is Rini manipulated by evil. Older and grievous, Wicked Lady follows Wiseman word by word, but Sailor Moon always tries to get her back on the side of good...
