episode 43: a knight to remember Lita, Amy, and Serena were standing somewhere downtown. They were talking about a big test, when suddenly, they heard a man scream! They ran to the sound, where they found a teenage boy being chased by a huge pink lion! Lita screamed out in pain, "Ken!" But it was too late: the monster sucked his energy dry (it was from the aliens), and in the process, Ken had fallen, and bled from the head... The girls brought him to the hospital, where he needed to have a transfusion, so Lita elected herself. Soon, hey were hooked up in two hospital beds, blood being transferred. Amy asked Lita what her history was with Ken, and she explained how he had always stuck up for her (with "Rainy Day Man" playing in the background. So nice!)... Later, the lion returns to Ann and Alan, where it releases the energy it collected, revitalizing the tree and the aliens...Meanwhile, at Serena's house, Serena is writing something on paper. Luna thinks that it's homework and is stunned. But she comes closer and sees that she is just drawing pictures of the Princess and Prince Darien. Serena looked lovestruck, as usual... The next day, the girls are supposed to meet at the temple to discuss the lion, but as usual, Serena is late. As she runs down the street, she spots Ann flirting with Darien. She buts into the conversation, and Darien says that he's glad to see "meatball-head". She blushes, and then says, "Do you remember?" She then pulls out the pictures she's been drawing before, explaining the whole story about Princess Serena and Tuxedo Mask and the like. But in the middle, Ann screams at her, "That's a fairy tale!" And while they are fighting, Darien walks away. Ann runs after him, but Serena runs towards the temple... At the temple, the other four girls are reading into the Holy Flames (Raye directing this of course). Raye asks, "Who is the cause of our problems?" and the lion is shown. She says that this is Sailor business... Next thing you know, they have tranformed and are running down the temple stairs when Serena finally runs into them. Amy stops and yells at her to transform. "Moon Prism Power!!" is shouted, and the Scouts are together again... Mars senses that the lion is close, and they finally trace it to a park, where it is draining the energy of a couple. Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus show up first. Jupiter, upset that the lion had hurt Ken, charged right away. She tried to use her thunder crash, but the monster attacked first, and she was down. Angry as sin, Mars summoned her "Fireballs Charge", but as the scroll flew towards the monster, it was cut (by the monster's thoughts) to shreds. It then attacked, and the four Scouts were down... Of course, at that moment, Sailor Moon showed up and gave her speech. She looked tough, but the monster came after her anyway, and without the Scouts to back her up, she was soon caught by the lion. Serena thought it was all over... when suddenly, a white rose flew through the air and stuck in the lion's foot. Freed from its grasp, Sailor Moon thought that it was Tuxedo Mask. But looking up, she saw that the man was not dressed in a tuxedo, but in white, a veil of sorts covering his face, his outfit looked like a sheik's. He gave a speech (much like Tuxedo Mask's but sappier) to distract it. Awestruck, she asked, "Who are you?" And he replied, "I am the Moonlight Knight!" He unveiled a sword, destroyed the lion's means of collecting energy, hurting it, then soon disappeared... Sailor Moon was sure that it was Darien. But why would he dress like that? she thought. She pondered this, and as she gazed into the moonlight, Jupiter got up and asked, "What happened about the lion?" But as soon as Lita asked this, the lion reawoke... It attacked Sailor Moon with an evil force, and soon had her caught again, frozen in fright. Sailor Jupiter thought back to the monster hurting Ken, and now Sailor Moon...Jupiter was mad beyond belief. She called upon the forces of Jupiter and let out a mighty yell: "Jupiter THUNDER CRASH!" The lightning struck the monster, and it was destroyed... Mars, Venus, and Mercury soon woke up. Mars asked, "Did we miss all the fun?" They all laughed...the next day, Serena, Amy, and Lita stood outside the hospital, where Ken was being taken home. Serena asked Lita if she was going to his welcome home party, but she said, "Ken's always watched over me. Now, I'm going to watch over him." Ken had survived, with help from his best friend Lita... That night, Serena was in her pajamas, staring up from her bed at the moon. She thought about the Moonlight Knight, and how he must be Darien, and she thought back to when they were together... The day had been won by the Scouts, with help from the mysterious Moonlight Knight...but who is he? What is his relation to the Scouts?...
