episode 44: VR madness Serena's mom is yelling at her to wake up. Sammy and her dad have gone to the new VR arcade and as usual, she was late. Luna just sighed... Meanwhile, Ann and Alan are at the Doom Tree. Realizing that it is dying, the only thing they can think of it to collect more human energy. They see an ad for the new VR place and decide it's the perfect spot... Later that day, Serena and Luna make it to the VR arcade. The line seems to sprawl for miles, and she just looks around, seeing that everyone there is in couples. Depressed, she wanders a bit, and then finds Darien. He made fun of her, saying how the meatball head didn't have a boyfriend. But he was alone too, so she decided to chase after him... At this point, the human Alan and Ann were at the arcade. The guard was saying how Alan needed to get on line, but Alan just shot a light out from his eyes that subdued the man. And then who did Darien run into but Ann! She hung on to his arm, and Serena grabbed the other side. Ann asked Alan, "Coming or not?" Alan thought he could be with Serena while Ann was with Darien... Inside, each group of people were placed in special seats that moved according to the game's movememts. During the game, Serena and Ann were fighting alongside Darien. Two people looked at them: Sammy and her dad! They were there too, to Serena's dismay!... Outside, Mina, Lita, Raye, and Amy showed up. Luna was relieved to see them, and they got to the back of the line, mad at its size... Meanwhile, inside, everyone geared up for the next part of the game, where you are basically put in a worl and you shoot monsters. When Sammy put on his "armor" he gave a Sailor Moon-like speech (who knew that he really admired his sister, who is Sailor Moon?). Everyone was ready!... Ann, Darien, Serena, and Alan were in the middle of the game. Ann made a few good shots. Serena had no aim whatsoever, and Alan and Darien had a little rivalry about who could shoot the most monsters. When Ann fawned over Darien, Alan gave her a mean look (they are lovers in their real lives, you know!). Darien grabbed Serena's arm and told her to run with him to the next room... Serena was SO HAPPY! She fell into a daydream, where Tuxedo Mask held her in one hand, and the Moonlight Knight tugged at her other hand. However, in the middle of this, she heard someone scream "SERENA!". She woke up and it turned out to be Sammy. He said that Dad was in big trouble, that a monster was after him! Darien went with him (he said it was a "guy thing"). But Serena was upset, and ran after them... Inside that room, an evil cardian chased after Dad. He shouted, "These lasers are supposed to WORK!" as the aliens stood and laughed. Then, Darien and Sammy showed up. Darien picked up a piece of "armor" and chucked it at the monster, distracting it. It snarled and turned towards them, and Dad told Sammy to run for his life, but Sammy stayed to fight. The monster then used its energy-sucking tentacles to throw the men aside. Dad and Sammy lay lifeless, but Darien began to get up... All of a sudden, having transformed in the hall, Sailor Moon appeared! As she gave her speech, Darien said, "Who the heck is she? I hope she can help." And Sailor Moon tried her basic attack: "Moon Tiara Magic!" but as the golden discus flew through the air, it suddenly stopped short. "Oh no! My tiara's lost all its power!" cried Serena. Darien thought, "I hope she's got some idea..." Then, all of a sudden, a white rose was flung through the air, stopping the monster. It was the Moonligh Knight! "But how can the Moonlight Knight and Darien be two different people!" said Serena. Meanwhile, the Knight drew his sword, and attacked the monster, cutting its tentacles off. However, as the Knight stopped paying attention, its tentacles grew back, and it attacked him with full force, and was about to drain his energy... When, in a flash, "Mercury Bubbles Blast!" was heard, and a fog covered the room. When it cleared, Sailors Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus could be seen. They gave their speech and turned to Sailor Moon, who cried that her tiara was broken. Venus consoled her, picked up the tiara and told her that it still might work. Moon smiled... Jupiter and Venus decided to get this taken care of. Shouting "Jupiter Thunder Crash!" and "Venus Cresent Beam Smash!", they hit the monster with such a force that it was destroyed. The aliens, upset, took the energy that they had already collected and left. The Moonlight Knight left in an instant, and when Darien looked back, the Scouts were gone as well. The day was won by the Sailors once again... Back at Serena's house, Mom was cleaning Sammy and Dad's wounds from the ordeal. Serena talked to Luna: "Now, Darien isn't the Moonlight Knight! Luna, what's left to believe in?" she moped. Luna just said that everything would turn out for the best, that she had to believe that. And so she would have to move on...
